Comprehensive
Evaluation

A complete picture of your oral health — built with modern imaging, careful listening, and a treatment plan that puts your needs first.

What to Expect

More than a checkup — a complete oral health assessment.

Your comprehensive evaluation at Great Care Dental is designed to give Dr. Lee a thorough understanding of your dental health, your history, and your goals. We take the time to listen, examine, and explain — so every decision is made together.

We use digital X-rays and 3D CBCT imaging when indicated, along with intraoral photography, periodontal charting, and a full cancer screening. You leave with a clear, prioritized treatment plan — and no surprises.

Your Visit, Step by Step

What happens during your first appointment.

STEP 01

Medical & Dental History

We review your health history, medications, concerns, and goals — taking the time to truly understand your needs before any examination begins.

STEP 02

Diagnostic Imaging

Digital X-rays capture detailed views of your teeth, roots, and bone. 3D CBCT imaging is used when a fuller picture is needed for implants or complex treatment.

STEP 03

Clinical Examination

Dr. Lee examines each tooth, your gums, bite alignment, jaw joints, and soft tissues — including an oral cancer screening.

STEP 04

Your Personalized Plan

We walk you through findings clearly, answer every question, and present a prioritized treatment plan with transparent cost estimates and flexible options.

Common Questions

What patients ask about their first visit.

  • Plan for approximately 60–90 minutes for a thorough first visit. This includes your health history review, imaging, the full clinical exam, and time with Dr. Lee to discuss findings and your treatment plan.

  • Simply bring any recent X-rays if available (we can request records from your previous dentist), a list of medications, and your insurance card. Arriving 10–15 minutes early to complete paperwork is helpful.

  • Most dental insurance plans cover a comprehensive exam and basic X-rays. We'll verify your benefits before your appointment and give you a clear breakdown of any estimated out-of-pocket costs.

  • Yes. Our bilingual team is fully fluent in both English and Mandarin. Just let us know your preference when you book and we'll match you with a team member accordingly.
