Digital
Dentistry

3D imaging, intraoral scanning, and same-day CAD/CAM restorations — precision dentistry that saves time and improves outcomes.

Advanced Technology

Modern technology — better outcomes, fewer visits.

Great Care Dental invests in advanced digital technology not as a marketing point, but because it genuinely produces better results for patients. 3D imaging allows us to plan implants and complex extractions with sub-millimeter precision. Intraoral scans replace uncomfortable impression trays with a quick, accurate digital capture. And CAD/CAM milling produces same-day ceramic restorations that fit with exceptional accuracy.

The result: faster appointments, fewer return visits, and restorations that last longer and feel more comfortable than traditional methods allow.

Our Technology

The tools behind your treatment.

TECH 01

3D CBCT Imaging

Cone Beam CT provides a full 3D view of your teeth, jawbone, nerve pathways, and sinuses — essential for implant planning, wisdom tooth assessment, and complex diagnosis.

TECH 02

Intraoral Scanner

A handheld wand captures a precise 3D digital model of your teeth in minutes — replacing traditional impression trays and transmitting directly to our lab or CAD/CAM mill.

TECH 03

Same-Day CAD/CAM Crowns

We design and mill ceramic crowns in-office while you wait — no temporaries, no second appointment, and a fit verified digitally before cementation.

TECH 04

Dental Microscope

Surgical-grade magnification for root canal treatment, crown preparations, and restorations — allowing Dr. Lee to see and treat details invisible to the naked eye.

Common Questions

Digital dentistry FAQs.

  • Yes. Modern CAD/CAM ceramic blocks have excellent strength and esthetics, and the digital design process removes human error from the fit. Many studies show comparable longevity to traditional lab-fabricated crowns.

  • CBCT delivers a focused, limited-field scan with a radiation dose significantly lower than a medical CT scan. It is only used when the clinical benefit justifies it — typically for implant planning or complex extractions.

  • Intraoral scans capture the 3D shape of your teeth and gums. Digital X-rays are still used to view the internal structure of teeth and bone density — the two technologies complement each other rather than replace one another.

  • Not necessarily. Same-day crowns eliminate the cost of a temporary crown and a second appointment. 3D planning reduces the risk of surgical complications. In most cases, our fees are comparable to traditional approaches — with better outcomes.
