Night Guards

Excessive jaw clenching and bruxism can accelerate tooth and jaw deterioration. To help our patients most comfortably avoid this, we customize snore and night guards to their bite. One type of night guard acts as a cushion between the top and bottom dental arches while the other creates more space between the front teeth to prevent the top and lower jaw from touching.

+What are the causes of teeth grinding (bruxism)?

  1. Teeth grinding can be caused by stress and anxiety
  2. Obstructive sleep apnea
  3. Abnormal bite or missing teeth

+What are some negative consequences of teeth grinding?

Teeth grinding can lead to a number of problems including:

  1. Headaches and muscle pain
  2. Loss of tooth struction & shortening of teeth
  3. Gum recession
  4. Teeth sensitivity
